Imperial
Tours was founded by Westerners who've lived in China for many years.
It combines local knowledge and know-how with a top-quality, professional
service; we bridge the gap between your preference for high quality service
and its provision in China.
By devising tours that are
at once aesthetic, luxurious and insightful the ethos of Imperial Tours
is perpetuated. This is why luxury travel specialists such as Virtuoso
and Signature and
why publications such as Travel + Leisure,
National Geographic Traveler,
"Departures", "The Financial Times" and "Fodor's",
as well as others, have endorsed our services.
No
other tour company is so dedicated to providing the best possible experience
of China. Merely keeping abreast of the almost daily developments in China's
luxury scene is no small task, and we continually update our hotels
and restaurants
to incorporate the very best within our unique tours. No other operator
goes to as much effort in organizing privately-catered, poetic experiences
for their customers.
"What fond memories I have of my trip to China - especially
the guided tour of the Forbidden City and our wonderful luncheon at The
China Club as well as the exciting performance by the Shaolin Warriors.
I was so impressed by your detailed knowledge of the city."
Eunice Kennedy-Shriver, Washington D.C.
Executive Team
Having
graduated from Cambridge University, Guy Rubin's work for Arkwright strategy
consultancy took him all over the world. Arriving in Beijing in 1994,
he was as intrigued by China's history and culture as he was impressed
by its wealth of exotic travel destinations. Guy is responsible for general
management.
With an art history degree from
the University of Pennsylvania, as well as the universities of London,
Seoul and Beijing, Nancy Kim, who grew up in the States, is well-qualified
to advise on East Asian culture, art and history. Apart from furniture,
her abiding interest is in food.
Nancy oversees operations and ensures their quality.

Ethnically Chinese, born in South Africa and raised
in the USA, where she graduated from Columbia University, Margot Kong's
background is as diverse as her tastes. When she's not snow-boarding or
in-line skating, she's dancing ballet or swing. Somehow, during ten years
of sales and public relations at blue-chip firms, she squeezed in trips
across six of the world's continents. Anxious to introduce the best of
China to the rest of the world, Margot is responsible for sales and marketing.
"We could not emphasize enough how helpful (and patient!) you had been with all of the planning and how prompt you were with communication."
S&JN, Rochester, MN
For
your financial security, Imperial Tours participates in the Travel
Funds Protection Plan, which has been endorsed by American Society
of Travel Agents (ASTA). The funds you pay that are received by National
City Bank are held in escrow until the scheduled completion of your tour
in China. For details of the plan, please click here.
Founded in 1999, Imperial Tours is unchallenged in the
quality of service it can offer its visitors in China. With tours designed,
managed and directed by specialists, you can be assured of receiving unparalleled
quality. If you're worried about traveling in a large group and being
led to commission-paying restaurants and souvenir shops, we're here for
you. Conducting small groups to China's finest sites, hotels and restaurants,
we provide a stylish and absorbing vacation. No matter where you search,
you won't find a more luxurious and enjoyable tour of modern day China.
