From the breath-taking karst mountain landscapes near Guilin, to the staggeringly beautiful mountain peaks of Huangshan and the vast sand desert surrounding the oasis town of Dunhuang, China has plenty to offer outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you are clambering along unrestored sections of the Great Wall, following with Tibetan pilgrims a religious route through the Himalayan mountains, floating on a bamboo raft between rice paddies in southern China or cycling along valleys of banked tea fields, you will find yourself marvelling at China’s unexpected versatility. Either focus exclusively on destinations that provide opportunities for outdoor adventure or combine these elements with cultural destinations in a multi-dimensional itinerary.

This was a great trip where we didn’t speak the language(s). We stayed healthy, saw the best sights, ate like emperors and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves whilst learning a lot about China and its history.

Enriching Your Trip

See China Your Way

We all dress differently, we all live differently and we all have different interests when we travel. Just as there's no one China, there's no one destination. What we do is customize your itinerary so that you see each destination the way you want to see it.

This itinerary incorporates running, biking and trekking in the beautiful outdoors within a China visit that also includes all the main sites. You can have  your cake and eat it - you can both tour China's best known destinations and incorporate plenty of healthful activities providing a more intimate interaction with the landscape! This approach works for those with a more active lifestyle and for families with older children.
